One of the best things about Easter is being able to celebrate Spring as it brings a sense of renewal and growth to the outdoors, as the natural world come back to life after the long, cold winter. April can be fickle and unpredictable but there’s energy and hope as the blossoms come out, spring flowers are blooming and it’s finally warm enough to be outside without your winter coat.

Recently I’ve spent time enjoying being back in New Zealand. After 3 years I was able to get down to New Zealand to see family and friends now that they’ve opened their border (does anyone else refer to going up or down to a place depending on which way up you’re holding the map?), plus do a bit of exploring.

The outdoor lifestyle and summer go together like strawberries and cream. Living with the seasons means making the most of what makes this season unique.

Outdoor adventures and Land Rover Defenders go together perfectly. We have wanted a Defender for a long time but kept letting our head win over our hearts but have now taken the plunge and bought a 2004 Defender 90 TD5. It’s a classic British four-wheel drive and we have fallen in love with it.

This year the Autumnal Equinox falls on the 22nd September when our nights start to become longer than our days. The temperature starts to drop and the air becomes crisper, especially in the mornings.
